Last season, nine ACC teams made the NCAA Tournament in another successful collective campaign. The transfer portal was a key reason why, with plenty of mid-major and high-major players from other leagues having a big impact.
This offseason, teams that finished toward the bottom were very busy in the portal, landing a number of key players. Check out which are the most notable transfers to watch in the ACC for the 2026-27 season, produced in concert with our partners at The Portal Report.
1. Taryn Barbot, 5-foot-10 senior guard, Pitt
2025-26 stats (Charleston): 20.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists
The two-time CAA Player of the Year led the entire league in scoring last year, shooting a career-high 36 percent from deep. Barbot had a pair of 36-point outings, including one against Duke in the NCAA Tournament opening round. The senior follows head coach Robin Harmony over from Charleston to Pitt, looking to reignite a program that won just one ACC game last season.
2. Gianna Corbitt, 6-foot-1 junior forward, Miami
2025-26 stats (Chattanooga): 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds
Cobitt was highly effective in the SoCon both seasons, coming off shooting 51 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range on 4.5 attempts. The stretch forward had 11 games of at least 20 points, including a career-high 30 points and 11 rebounds on the road at Furman. Miami will look to Corbitt to be the focal point of the interior, replacing last year’s star forward, 6-foot-6 center Ra’Shaya Kyle (16.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game).

3. Timaya Lewis-Eutsey, 5-foot-8 senior guard, Florida State
2025-26 stats (Marshall): 20 points, 3.9 assists
After three years at VCU, Lewis-Eutsey transferred to Marshall, where she put up some huge numbers across the board. She shot a career-high 50 percent from the field and was fifth in the country with 3.8 steals per game. There were seven occurrences of at least 30 points, including 36 on the road at Central Michigan. With both starting guards from last season gone, the Seminoles will look to Lewis-Eutsey to run the offense.
4. Madison St. Rose, 5-foot-10 senior guard, Notre Dame
2025-26 stats (Princeton): 15.8 points, 4.5 rebounds per game
St. Rose started 83 games in four years at Princeton, twice earning all-league honors. She’s coming off a year of shooting 48 percent from the field and had a 30-point outing against Brown. With 5-foot-6 senior guard Hannah Hidalgo (25.3 points per game) back as the lead guard, Notre Dame just needs St. Rose to be an impact off-ball scorer to keep the Irish as a national contender.
5. Zamareya Jones, 5-foot-7 junior guard, Louisville
2025-26 stats (NC State): 14.9 points, 3.8 assists
Jones doubled her production as a sophomore last season, finishing third in scoring on a team that won 24 games and made the Big Dance. She shot 37 percent from deep on more than six attempts and had six games of at least 20 points last year, including a career-high 30 in the round of 64 win over Tennessee. Jones is a proven ACC performer and adds depth to the Cardinals, who already return their top two perimeter scorers from a 29-win team.
6. Desiree Wooten, 5-foot-8 senior guard, NC State
2025-26 stats (Colorado): 13.4 points, 2.6 assists
Despite playing fewer minutes compared to the prior year at North Texas, Wooten produced career-high scoring numbers off the bench. The veteran guard ended the season with 17 straight double-digit scoring outings, including 25 points on the road at BYU. The Wolfpack could have Wooten move back into the starting lineup as the perimeter replacement for Jones.
7. Shannon Dowell, 5-foot-10 senior guard, Cal
2025-26 stats (Missouri): 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds
In her first year at the high-major ranks, Dowell ranked second in scoring and rebounding at Missouri, shooting 45 percent from the field. She rebounds above her size, producing five double-doubles. One of them was a 33-point, 10-rebound performance against Oklahoma in Big 12 play. Cal brings back several key guards from last season, but Dowell not only adds depth but can also be utilized in three-guard lineups due to her rebounding ability.

8. Achol Akot, 6-foot-1 senior forward, North Carolina
2025-26 stats (Oklahoma State): 12.4 points, 7.2 rebounds
After two underwhelming years at UCF, Akot broke out as a Cowgirl, starting all 34 games and shooting 63 percent from the field. Akot produced seven double-doubles, including 28 points and 10 rebounds in the round of 64 win over Princeton. UNC returns a good amount of talent but does have to replace 6-foot-2 forward Nyla Harris, who led the team in both scoring and rebounding last year. The hope is that Akot can slide in her place in the frontcourt.
9. Charlotte Tuhy, 6-foot-1 sophomore forward, Stanford
2025-26 stats (American): 12 points, 11.3 rebounds
Tuhy was one of the top impact freshmen in the country last year, ranking 10th overall in rebounds per game. She produced 16 double-doubles overall, including 17 points and 22 rebounds in an overtime win over Colgate. After the massive roster exodus that saw all the team’s forwards depart, Tuhy will need to be an impact newcomer as the program looks to get back towards being competitive.
ACC Roster Reshuffle: The State of the Conference, Part 1
Hoops HQ’s ACC correspondent takes a deep dive into every roster change in the conference from last year to next season
10. Sophie Burrows, 6-foot-2 senior guard, North Carolina
2025-26 stats (Syracuse): 11 points, 5.8 rebounds
Burrows started each of the last two years for the Orange, although her efficiency took a hit compared to the prior season. The wing did have four games of at least 20 points last year, along with a 19-point and 16-rebound performance against Clemson in ACC play. As a proven player in this conference, look for her to grab a spot in the rotation, taking the minutes from departing 5-foot-10 senior guard Indya Nivar.
11. Carys Baker, 6-foot-2 senior forward, Louisville
2025-26 stats (Virginia Tech): 14.3 points, 6.9 rebounds
Baker is another ACC transfer joining the Cardinals, replacing the outgoing 6-foot-2 starting forward Laura Ziegler. Similar to Zeigler, Baker is also a stretch forward, shooting around 40 percent from deep on around 4.5 attempts in the last two years. The All-ACC forward had 10 games with at least 20 points, including 21 points and 14 rebounds in the round of 64 loss to Oregon. Along with the previously mentioned Jones, look for Baker to have a key part in the rotation for Louisville.

12. Kinsea Grimes, 6-foot sophomore forward, SMU
2025-26 stats (Coastal Carolina): 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds
As a freshman, Grimes started 20 games for Coastal Carolina, earning Sun Belt Rookie of the Year honors. She shot better from beyond the arc (40 percent on three attempts a game) than inside, including going 5 for 6 from deep (23 points total) in a home loss to Troy. Grimes is part of a revamped Mustangs roster looking to bounce back after going just 2-16 in league play.
13. Ande’a Cherisier, 6-foot-1 senior center, Pitt
2025-26 stats (Delaware): 12.9 points, 7.7 rebounds
The Baltimore native started 72 games in three years at Delaware, earning All-CUSA honors last season. Cherisier shot 46 percent from the field and produced nine double-doubles, as well as a 24-point outing against Kennesaw State in the Conference USA Tournament. Look for the senior big to start at center for the Panthers, replacing the outgoing 6-foot-5 center Fatima Diakhate.
14. Grace Oliver, 6-foot-1 junior forward, Boston College
2025-26 stats (Wake Forest): 14.3 points, 6.1 rebounds
After limited production at Colorado as a freshman, Oliver was a breakout transfer at Wake Forest this past season, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding. She led all of the ACC with 60-percent field goal shooting, including 39 percent from deep on limited attempts. Not only did Oliver have a trio of 20-point games towards the end of the year, but she also went for 30 in a win over Gardner-Webb, going a perfect 14 for 14 from the field. She goes from one bad ACC team to another that went just 1-17 in league play but is expected to be the Eagles’ focal point on offense.

15. Jasmine Nivar, 5-foot-10 sophomore guard, Florida State
2025-26 stats (Campbell): 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds
Nivar not only earned all-league honors last year but was also named the CAA Rookie of the Year. The playmaking guard had a trio of 20-point outings, including a season-high 24 points in a win over Elon. While not as heralded as the other key transfer pickup (Lewis-Eutsey), Nivar should have an impact of her own in the rebuilt backcourt.
16. Sofia Munoz, 5-foot-8 sophomore guard, Georgia Tech
2025-26 stats (UAB): 11.8 points, 4.1 assists
Munoz was one of the top freshmen in the American, finishing fifth in the league in assists. She shot 47 percent from the field and had a trio of games with 20 points, including 24 on the road at Southern Miss. Despite finishing under .500 overall, Georgia Tech has a chance to move up the ladder, thanks to returning leading scorer, 5-foot-10 junior Talayah Walker (17.5 points per game).
17. Theresa Hagans, 5-foot-9 sophomore guard, SMU
2025-26 stats (Pitt): 12.5 points, 3.7 assists per game
Hagans was one of a few bright spots for Pitt last season, finishing second on the team in scoring. She shot 37 percent from the field and started 23 games as a freshman, including a 33-point effort on the road at SMU. That performance convinced the Mustangs to get Hagans, set up to be a lead guard on a different ACC rebuilding team.
18. Taylor Barbot, 5-foot-9 senior guard, Pitt
2025-26 stats (Charleston): 11.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists
Due to Taylor’s sister and No.1 ranked transfer Taryn getting most of the spotlight, Taylor’s production and talent fly under the radar. She was second on the team in scoring and led the CAA in assists last year. Barbot had a trio of 10-assist games, including 10 points and 11 assists in the conference tournament win over Stony Brook. Look for both Barbot sisters to start for Pitt, with Taylor being the point guard.
19. Mary-Anna Asare, 5-foot-7 senior guard, Virginia
2025-26 stats (VCU in 7 games): 17.4 points, 3.1 rebounds
The former All-A10 guard started 82 games in four years at VCU, shooting nearly 35 percent from deep over her career. Asare has a number of 20-point outings in her career, including 37 points in a win over Duquesne two years ago. The Cavaliers are coming off a successful year but are looking for help for returning leading scorer Kymora Johnson (19.5 points per game). The hope is that Asare will be a quality backcourt mate for Johnson next year.
20. Chloe Clardy, 5-foot-9 senior guard, North Carolina
2025-26 stats (Stanford): 12 points, 2.3 assists
Clardy started 29 games in the last two years for the Cardinal, averaging in double figures in both seasons. She had three games of 20 points last year, including 26 in a road win over Pitt. Clardy is another proven ACC player staying in the conference, joining Akot and Burrows in an effort to keep UNC as a top-tier team in the league.
