Class of 2026 superstar Caleb Holt, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, has committed to Arizona. Holt announced his decision on Tuesday on ESPN’s First Take, choosing the Wildcats out of a final five that included Alabama, Kentucky, Houston and Providence.
A senior at Prolific Prep in Florida, Holt is the No. 4-ranked recruit in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s the highest-rated prospect to commit to Arizona since DeAndre Ayton in 2017.
Originally from Georgia, Holt is a dynamic, two-way wing who dominated the Adidas 3SSB circuit last summer, averaging 19.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals for the Game Elite program. He also played for Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd with USA Basketball’s U19 team in June and July.
“I got to be with him for like three weeks. I saw what type of guy he was. On the court, he instilled a lot of confidence in me. I feel like I took a big step in my game,” Holt said on First Take. “And when I took my visit, it was definitely my best visit, my favorite visit. I had a lot of fun with the guys. It was the culture there. The culture is just like how Prolific Prep is. It’s a brotherhood.”
Holt is a three-time gold medalist with USA Basketball: the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in 2023, the FIBA U17 World Cup in 2024 and the FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in 2025. He is the second player in his class to commit to the Wildcats, joining four-star prospect Cameron Holmes.
