Two of the top remaining transfers went off the board in early June, while programs like Villanova, USC and Washington continue to fine-tune their rosters.
Thanks to a partnership between The Portal Report and Hoops HQ, here are the top transfer headlines of the past two weeks, led by the Wildcats, Trojans and Huskies.
Claude Recruitment Ends with Commitment to Washington
After a saga that included interest from multiple high-major programs, predicted signings with Florida, UConn and Alabama, and two canceled recruiting visits, we finally have a winner. On June 8, 6-foot-6 junior wing Desmond Claude committed to coach Danny Sprinkle and Washington.
In 2024-25, his lone season with USC, Claude averaged 15.8 points and 4.2 assists after winning the 2023-24 Big East Most Improved Player award at Xavier. He joins a Huskies transfer class that includes Quimari Peterson from East Tennessee State, Jacob Ognacevic from Lipscomb and former USC teammate Wesley Yates III.
Miami Transfer Decommits from UTSA
On May 22, 6-foot-9 senior forward Kiree Huie announced his commitment to UTSA after making 14 appearances for Miami during an injury-marred 2024-25 season. Not even two weeks later, Huie decommitted from UTSA and re-entered the transfer portal.
The Portal Report reported the following day that Huie had heard from multiple programs since his re-entry into the portal, including Seton Hall, Minnesota, Memphis, USF, Eastern Washington, Hofstra, Iona and FIU. Huie, who is from the Atlanta area, is seeking his fourth school. He spent two seasons at Odessa (Texas) College and a season apiece at Idaho State and Miami.
TPR’s Top Remaining Portal Prospect Commits to Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt secured its eighth transfer commitment last week with the announcement that 6-foot-2 sophomore guard George Kimble III is joining the Commodores. He was the top-ranked transfer still available, per The Portal Report, and averaged 18.0 points per game for Eastern Kentucky in 2024-25.
Kimble, who missed time with a knee issue this past season, will redshirt for Vanderbilt in 2025-26 to fully rehab from the injury.
Cornish Granted Extra Year of Eligibility, Commits to USC
Following reports that 6-foot-4 senior guard Ryan Cornish had received an additional year of eligibility, the Dartmouth transfer announced his commitment to USC. Cornish was a first-team All-Ivy performer this past season, when he averaged 17.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
Cornish received an additional year of eligibility after having played just 14 games as a junior in 2o23-24 because of injury. He reportedly decided on USC after a visit to Tennessee. He joins TPR’s third-ranked transfer class in the nation and will team with, among others, Chad Baker-Mazara from Auburn, Rodney Rice from Maryland and Ezra Ausar from Utah.

NCAA Tournament Veteran Heading to USF
The Bryan Hodgson rebuild continues at USF, as 6-foot-5 junior guard Josh Omojafo announced his commitment to the Bulls on Thursday. Omojafo played an integral role in Robert Morris’ Horizon League championship run this past season; he started 33 games for the Colonials and averaged 11.4 points and 3.8 rebounds.
Omojafo began his career at Division II Gannon, where he was selected as a D-II All-American in 2024 after averaging 20.0 points per game. With one year of eligibility remaining, he’ll look to be an impactful transfer for new coach Hodgson, who came from Arkansas State and is a former Nate Oats assistant.
HBCU Secures a Commitment from a Top-20 Scorer
The No. 3-ranked transfer still available made his choice last week, with 6-foot-3 junior guard Paul McMillan IV joining Grambling. Despite Canisius’ struggles this past season (it won just three games), he was a bright spot, averaging 20.0 points for a top-20 finish nationally in scoring.
As reported earlier this offseason by TPR, McMillan had interest from more than 35 programs. That led to official visits with Delaware State, Morgan State and Pacific before he eventually chose the Tigers.
Hawaii Gets Commitment from a High-Major Talent
On June 6, it was reported that Hawaii had secured its fifth transfer addition when 6-foot-10 senior forward Yacine Toumi of Seton Hall committed. Though he saw limited minutes with the Pirates this past season, Toumi was solid at Evansville, where he averaged 10.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in 2023-24.
In the wake of NBA guard Patty Mills joining the program as general manager, Toumi joins a Hawaii transfer class that ranks atop the Big West per TPR.

All-NEC Selection Officially Withdraws from the Portal
Long Island announced the return of 6-foot-5 senior forward Jamal Fuller last week; he officially withdrew his name from the transfer portal earlier this month. Fuller, a second-team All-NEC selection this past season, averaged 12.5 points and 6.0 rebounds after transferring from Division II program Academy of Art last offseason.
With 2024-25 All-NEC first-teamer Malachi Davis withdrawing from the portal in May, the Sharks look primed to win the NEC next season.
Former Four-Star Follows Willard to Villanova
Junior forward Tafara Gapare will follow coach Kevin Willard to Villanova. In his three seasons of college basketball, Gapare has played for UMass, Georgia Tech and Maryland, where he made 32 appearances under Willard this past season.
Gpare, a native of New Zealand who played high school ball in Connecticut, is a former four-star prospect who held offers from the likes of DePaul, Illinois, Maryland and Virginia Tech before signing with UMass in 2022.
