Ken Davis is in his 48th season of writing about college basketball. The University of Kansas graduate spent 28 years in the newspaper business, starting at The Kansas City Star and logging 20 years at The Hartford Courant. During that tenure, he was a beat writer covering Ted Owens at Kansas, Jim Boeheim at Syracuse, Lefty Driesell at Maryland, and Jim Calhoun at Connecticut. His was a columnist at NBCSports.com and FOXSports.com, and his work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, The Sporting News, ESPN The Magazine, The Athletic, Athlon, and Basketball Times. Davis now has written 15 years for Blue Ribbon Basketball Yearbook. He has covered 35 Final Fours and written three college basketball books, two on Kansas and one on UConn. His writing has been awarded 14 times by the United States Basketball Writers and six times by the Associated Press Sports Editors. He was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
